One of Springfield's most popular restaurants, this cozy storefront restaurant seats over 60 customers. Many come for the tandoori specialties -- chicken, lamb, breads -- but saag paneer (spinach with Indian cheese) and Navratan Korma (a dish of 9 vegetables) are also excellent. On Friday and Saturday nights, the Sitar is known overflow with clientele. Reservations for large parties are recommended.

The owner and Chef of the Sitar brings 25 years of experience preparing specialties from India. Opening our second location in Connecticut in October 2005, we are currently serving a full house nightly. We are proud to present delicacies from both Northern and Southern India. As with all new restaurants, the Sitar has become more comfortable with age and it's easy to understand why our new location is already well established with a successful 15 year history prior to expanding.
